dans une autre vente une magnifique 5510 :
Rolex. A fine and rare stainless steel automatic centre seconds wristwatch together with Royal Navy diving log sheet
Oyster Perpetual, 200m=660ft, Submariner, Ref:5510, Case No.362252, Made in 1958, Sold in 1958
25-jewel Cal:1530 nickel-finished lever movement, black gloss dial with luminous dot and baton hour markers, luminous Mercedes hands and luminous sweep centre seconds, in tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case with black revolving bezel calibrated for 60 units, screw down crown, screw on back stamped inside 1.1958, the back is hand engraved with the owners name and military service No.'B.Turner P/JX 905415', stainless steel Rolex 93150 bracelet with 580 end pieces, case, dial and movement signed
38mm.
This watch was purchased in 1958 by the current vendor whilst he was stationed in Singapore for the Royal Navy. He used this as his daily dive watch throughout his Military service and it comes with a Royal Navy Diver History sheet, showing dive dates, depths and Diving Officers remarks, it also shows his Military number 905415 which corresponds to the engraving on the rear of the case back. The photograph included with this lot shows the owner in full dive gear on the Falkland Islands in 1959. The watch also comes with letters and service papers from Rolex dated 1979, one in the 'Comments' sections states 'Client needs watch back by 2nd June for Diving'.
The Ref:5510 Submariner is believed to only have been in production for one year and that a very small series of less than 300 examples were made, making this particular example with Dive history even rarer still.
