Omega Dynamic Chronograph...( Pics )
Three generations of DYNAMIC:
First Generation
The Dynamic is a line of watches that Omega have used a few times before in the past. Perhaps best known are the 70's series of Dynamics (first issued in 1969, see picture), with the typical oval shaped cases. Back then they were no. 1 on Omega's sales list.
Second Generation
The name Dynamic again was used in 1984 for a series watches that only lasted a few years. Shown here is a Seamaster Dynamic. It is a quartz model Caliber 1430 (ETA 255411). The watch was launched on the market march 1, 1985.
Third Generation
The Dynamic 90's model was also different and daring compared with the other lines they marketed. The 90's Dynamic were inspired of a watch from the 1930's, but the styling of the dial and the case reminded of the Omega Pilot watches used by RAF Pilots in the 50's.
The Dynamic appeared in two models, a time only with date and a chronograph with prices of € 1000 the first, and € 1200 the chronograph...
( Omega Dynamic time only, Omega 1108 caliber, base ETA 2892A2. 21 jewels, 28800 a/h, hacking secons , quickset date )
And the chronograph.....
A military looking watch, 38mm diameter...
Brushed case, with big pushers....
We can easily realize that crown and pushers are in different levels....
...... so we can guess that the movement is a Omega 1138, an ETA 2892 with Dubóis-Depraz chronographic module....
The back is so concise...
The lume...
A watch in the old RAF style....
...which was only assembled from 1996 to 1999, with two limited editions of the chronograph...
LIMITED EDITION TARGA FLORIO,
The limited edition "Targa Florio" Dynamic Chronograph was launched in 1999. Reference number is 5291.51.07. And the case reference is ST 175.0311.
The watch was named after Targa Florio, the legendary oldtimer race held on Sicily. The first race was in 1906, the last race was in 1973. (Therefore this limited edition is one of 1973 pieces)
The watch came in a special packaging (racing tire box) and with an engraving on the case back: No., "Giro di Sicilia" and the logo of the race.
The price in 1999 was CHF 1600.
The other one was dedicated to Thai Royal Irrigation Department , , 300 pieces, on the occasion of their 99th anniversary.
See you soon

J'adore la 1ère génération avec son bracelet si particulier qui faisait presque la largeur de la carrure à la base.
